Rio de Janeiro
Botafogo
Botafogo
Located between downtown and the beaches of Copacabana and Ipanema, Botafogo is one of the least explored neighborhoods in Rio, which makes it an interesting place for the adventurous traveler. Here you can find hidden restaurants, bookshops, and bars where locals hang out. With its tree-lined cobble-stoned streets and colonial mansions, this area is also a good example of authentic Rio.
In addition to its lively nightlife, the neighborhood also has many museums, movie theaters, and shopping centers, making it a perfect place to explore on a rainy day.
