Events on Carnival Monday


Samba Performers in Beautiful Carnival Costumes. Carnival Monday continues the celebration with the second day of the Samba Parade held at Sambodrome. If you enjoy large parties complete with music, drinks, and dancing, check out one of the balls rocking the local discos and clubs. Performances carry on in Rio Folio and Terreirao do Samba.

Samba Parade*
The parade continues presenting the top samba schools of Rio.

Location: Sambadromo

Carnaval Ball at Scala*
These balls are for the not-so-formal featuring live music and samba dancing. More

Location: Av Afrannio de Melo Franco(Leblon) and Help
Start: 11pm

Gay Ball at Le Boy*
Le Boy is a Copacabana dance club complete with music and dance floor. The crowd is filled with both homosexuals and heterosexuals moving between house music and samba while dressed in costume and other outrageous attire. More

Celebrations Continue
Performances including music, dance, and merriment continue on the streets of Rio de Janeiro.

Location: Rio Folio and Terreirao do Samba (Near Arcos do Lapa and Cathedral Metropolitana)
